The Southwest VA area hosts year-round events which include food competitions, fiddler’s conventions, music jams, trail runs, farmers markets, and an array of festivals.
The Fries Community Center is a proud affiliate of The Crooked Road, Virginia’s heritage music trail. Jam sessions are held at the Community Center each Thursday night at 6:30 pm. The world’s oldest and largest Old Fiddler’s Convention is held in Galax, VA the second week of August annually. Numerous other towns and communities also have music festivals throughout the year.
